Rian Johnson who is set to unleash The Last Jedi in just over a month, is the person who will oversee the trilogy with president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Turner very excited by this prospect!

“We all loved working with Rian on The Last Jedi, he’s a creative force, and watching him craft The Last Jedi from start to finish was one of the great joys of my career. Rian will do amazing things with the blank canvas of this new trilogy.”

“We had the time of our lives collaborating with Lucasfilm and Disney on The Last Jedi,” Johnson and Ram Bergman (who will co-write) added. “Star Wars is the greatest modern mythology and we feel very lucky to have contributed to it. We can’t wait to continue with this new series of films.”

All we know is that the new set of films will feature brand new characters and a story never told before!

Not content with this, Disney have also announced that a live action TV Show is to be made that will be available on their upcoming streaming service.

No news of what it could be about or anything else was made available!

Star Wars overload?  We have to wait and see!
