AT LAST….A TRAILER FOR ‘CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY’

We first heard some news about the 11th [and I’ve only seen the first three, I’ve really got some catching up to do] Children Of The Corn film almost two years ago. It was reported to be going into production….and then a few weeks later things went totally dark for a very long time until November last year when leading actress Marci Miller posted on Instagram that she was doing ADR work and that the movie will be out early this year.

And now….at last… we have a [fairly short but action filled] trailer:

SYNOPSIS:
A young pregnant woman escapes a murderous child cult in a small Midwestern town. She then spends the next decade living anonymously in an attempt to spare her son the horrors that she experienced as a child. She lands in the small Oklahoma town… but something is following her. Now, she must confront this evil or lose her child.

Children Of The Corn: Runaway is directed by John Gulager from a script by Joel Soisson, and stars Marci Miller, JR Hatchett, Lynn Andrews III, Gavin Taylor, and Blaine Mayer.

It comes out in the US on Blu-Ray, DVD, and VOD on March 13th. No news of a UK release date yet.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
