‘PET CEMETARY’ REMAKE TO PROBABLY START SHOOTING THIS MAY

I mentioned a few months back that a remake of Pet Cemetary was in the works, and now I can tell you that the new adaptation of Stephen King’s novel from directing-duo Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch [Starry Eye, the upcoming Mama 2] has been fast tracked  and may very well begin shooting shoot in Toronto this May. This is still merely a rumour at this point, but I would expect it to be true as the studio will want to cash-in on the popularity of It which seems to have kick-started a new wave of King adaptations. As I probably said previously, I think they’ll find it hard to top Mary Lambert’s original film which King scripted himself, but we shall see.

Pet Cemetary is scripted by Jeff Buhler and David Kajganich, but we don’t have a cast list yet. The release date is April 19, 2019.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
