I rather enjoyed Atomic Blonde with its stylish look, twisty plot and great fight sequences and, while not quite a smash, it did pretty well at the box office, grossing just under $100 million worldwide and doing well on home formats as well. At the time of its release there was talk of a series, and rumours of a sequel have been circulating since. Now we learn that Atomic Blonde 2 is indeed pressing ahead. Star Charlize Theron herself confirmed the news at the San Francisco International Film Festival, where she the subject of a tribute and onstage interview, saying that:

“We’re working on a sequel”.

She didn’t elaborate further, so we have no idea if director David Leitch will return or anybody else for that matter, but it’s good to have this confirmed….for now.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
