We’ve heard in the past that Jordan Peele, writer/director of Get Out, is thinking about doing a sequel. He told ‘THR’ back in February:
“I will definitely, seriously consider it. I love that universe and I feel like there is more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends”.
But what does producer Jason Blum of Blumhouse think? Well, it seems like he’s certainly up for it – but with one proviso.
“If Jordan wants to do a sequel, I’ll do it in a second, but it has to come from Jordan Peele. I think he’s flirting with the idea”.
I don’t know about you, but I kinda wish Jordan would stop “flirting with the idea”. Yes, I really enjoyed Get Out along with many others, but, while I guess some of the more vague details in the film could be elaborated on in a sequel, I think that it should really be left alone. It doesn’t need a sequel. And I’m sure Peele has plenty of more original stories he’d like to tell.
