Id you don’t want to know lots of details about The Predator then it’s probably best that you skip this article. It’s been openly reported that, after a test screening, there have been some significant reshoots on Shane Black‘s movie, including notably the third act having been retooled. Well, a few days ago ‘AvP Galaxy’ released all the details, so here they are!

Those silly looking “friendly” Predators shown in photographs riding atop an APC tank and aiming an automatic weapon have been removed, as have all the “hybrid creatures” with the exception of the “Predator Dog”.

All death sequences involving the more prominent characters have also been completely changed.

The final battle with the Upgrade Predator now takes place at night in the woods to make it scarier. After attacking the Project: Stargazer base, Upgrade gives the survivors a chance to escape before he begins to hunt them to find the best fighter amongst them.

More scenes that connect The Predator to the previous films, including even the Alien vs. Predator movies, have been added.

I really like Black’s work but I can’t help thinking this film is in trouble. Hopefully I’ll be proved wrong when the film comes out and we’ll finally get a worthy follow-up to the first two [much like the Terminator series, so far only the first two films matter for me].

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Olivia Munn, Jake Busey, Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Edward James Olmos, Alfie Allen and Yvonne Strahovski star.

The Predator returns on September 14, 2018.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
