In one of the most shocking TV news of 2018, its been confirmed that one of the greatest shows of all time, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, is getting a re-boot.
One of the biggest shocks of it all, is that creator Joss Whedon is actually involved and that the new Buffy will now be played by an African American actor.
This news has been met with such negativity from die-hard fans as while the show was first shown way back in the 90’s, it still holds up today and with such a strong fan base, that the thought of other actors playing these iconic roles, is totally unthinkable.
Buffy originally ran for seven seasons and made stars out of Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Head, James Marsters, Emma Caulfield Ford, David Boreanaz and of course Sarah Michelle Gellar, and is often credited for its strong message of female empowerment.
Monica Owusu-Breen is currently writing the script and a studio is being sought, which lets be honest, will have no difficulties in finding.
