Unfriended: Dark Web is just about to come out in the US, and something very interesting about it has just been revealed by some other websites. According to a note sent out to digital cinema managers and projection staff, the film has not one but two different endings. According to the note, the film clocks in at 1:32:22 with Ending 1 and 1:31:55 with Ending 2. Therefore we can assume that different cinemas will be getting different endings. Those of us old enough will recall that, back in 1985, Clue did the same thing.
No information as to what these differing endings are has surfaced yet, but I’m sure that those who want to find out will be able to do so with little difficulty once the film comes out Stateside on July 20th. Us Brits have to wait a little longer to see it, the release date being 10 August 10th. We don’t yet know if other countries besides the US are getting these alternate endings, but we will inform you when we do.
When a 20-something finds a cache of hidden files on his new laptop, he is thrust into the deep waters of the dark web.
Unfriended: Dark Web is written and directed by Stephen Susco and stars Colin Woodell, Betty Gabriel, Stephanie Nogueras, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Andrew Lees, Connor Del Rio and Savira Windyani.
