It seems that performing his music has given John Carpenter a new lease of life, and now we have news concerning a rumour started by the man himself. ‘horrormovies.ca’ reports that Carpenter spoke to ‘Consequence of Sound’ and told them:

“We’re talking to Shudder about doing a theme. And maybe doing a show for them. What would you think about Prince of Darkness as a TV show? Well, maybe. Maybe not. I don’t know. I’m not going to tell you. I’m not going to tell you”.

While I’d personally like to see a TV series based on In The Mouth Of Madness even more [think of the potential!], there’s no doubt that Carpenter’s loopy 1987 horror movie about slime which is the essence of Satan and which can turn people into zombified killers could fare well on the small screen, so let’s cautiously hope that this happens.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
