‘Bloody Disgusting’ bring us the news that Syfy is in talks to license the rights to make new movies based on Killer Klowns from Outer Space and the Critters series. And that’s all we know so far, so we don’t have a clue at the moment if these are going to be remakes, sequels or whatever. In the case of Killer Klowns from Outer Space, there’s been talk about a sequel for some time, so I guess it’s good that we’re now getting one, though we don’t know so far how involved [if at all] the Chiodo brothers are, and – well – Syfy productions aren’t generally known for their quality. I really hope that they resist to make those clowns that were so creepy in the original movie into CGI things too. In the case of Critters, the third and fourth films weren’t great [though I like number three more than some] so I guess there’s less to tarnish, if you know what I mean.

Still, let’s wait and see what they do with these….

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
