So at last we get our first decent [we’ve already had one extreme close-up] look at the menace in the new Child’s Play, and, while his origins have been tampered with to the annoyance of many, it seems that they’ve thankfully not departed much from the original doll in terms of look. Even better is the news that he will still be an animatronic creation and not all CGI [which is something I feared], as you can see from the pic below, which was posted on Twitter with the caption:

“A behind the scenes look at the creation of the all-new, fully animatronic CHUCKY doll, courtesy of the world-renowned MastersFX team”.

Lars Klevberg directs, Tyler Burton Smith writes, and Gabriel Bateman, Aubrey Plaza and Brian Tyree Henry star in the film which is out 21st June next year.

Series creator Don Mancini isn’t involved with this remake, but seems to be planning a TV series, so Chucky fans have a lot to look forward to!

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
