I doubt that I’m the only person who thinks that LD Entertainment’s Jacob’s Ladder remake is probably one of those “it’ll never be as good as the original, why bother”? films. But they’ve gone ahead and made it anyway, and it was intended to come out on February 1st. However, reports have now come in that the release is being delayed and may not come out till later in the year, something that I predicted as we have yet to see a trailer – though exactly how much later we don’t know yet. Could this be a bad sign? Possibly. I have the feeling that it’ll end up bypassing cinemas for a start, but we’ll see.

After returning home from the Vietnam War, veteran Jacob Singer struggles to maintain his sanity. Plagued by hallucinations and flashbacks, Singer rapidly falls apart as the world and people around him morph and twist into disturbing images.

David M. Rosenthal directs, Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorpe write, and Michael Ealy, Guy Burnet, Karla Souza and Nicole Beharie star.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
