It seems possible that two of horror’s most iconic franchises could be returning and setting up home at Blumhouse. ‘Cinemablend’ spoke with Jason Blum and asked him if there were any plans to try and bring Scream and Hellraiser back to the big screen. His reply was:

“Yes, we definitely have discussed it. We’re looking – there’s nothing happening with either one of those things – but we’re definitely looking at it, and it’s definitely something I’d be open to”.

So at this point it sounds like Blumhouse is in the exploratory phase of seeing whether or not this would be possible for them to even do, though Blum has been known to play it coy before. It’s not much to go on, but exciting nonetheless. The last Hellraiser film to be seen in cinemas was Hellraiser 4 back in 1996 so it would be especially good to see Pinhead back on the screen and being given a half-decent budget for the first time in ages.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
