THREE HOUR ULTIMATE CUT OF ‘NIGHTBREED’ COMING!

Okay, I’m a big fan of Nightbreed as I’ve stated many times before, but this is getting ridiculous. We’ve had the heavily cut down studio cut, the longer Director’s cut in 2014 which writer/director Clive Barker put together, and in 2016 the legendary Cabal Cut which ran nearly two and a half hours. That seemed plenty long enough. However, as reported by ‘The Clive Barker Podcast’, a brand new “Ultimate” version of the legendary Cabal Cut is being put together, loaded with footage no fan has ever seen, and which will be three hours long. Some of the footage for this “Ultimate” cut has been pulled from newly discovered VHS dailies, which no one has seen, though the Cabal Cut did leave out a small amount of material present on some documentaries. Maybe Nightbreed sex will finally be in the film!

I’ve already spent a considerable amount of money on Nightbreed and I guess I’m soon going to have to spent yet more so I can give you my verdict on the third cut of the film I’ve reviewed. In any case, you can track the progress of this version of Nightbreed by following @nbcabalcut on Twitter, which looks to be the official account for the project. Each day, they’ve been tweeting out HD images to whet our appetites.

Unsurprisingly, this is one story I’ll be following closely…..

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
