The official trailer has been revealed for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming GOOD OMENS series.
Good Omens is based on the beloved book by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman which follows an unlikely duo, a fussy Angel (Michael Sheen, Masters of Sex) and a loose-living Demon (David Tennant, Doctor Who) who’ve become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon. But they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware he’s meant to bring upon the end of days, forcing them to embark on an adventure to find him and save the world before it’s too late.
Good Omens stars Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin, Mireille Enos, among others, and is produced by Amazon Studios, BBC Studios, The Blank Corporation and Narrativia. Neil Gaiman, Douglas Mackinnon, Chris Sussman, Simon Winstone and Rob Wilkins serve as Executive Producers.
Gaiman has also unveiled that another famous name will be joining the cast of Good Omens, tweeting that Brian Cox (Succession) will depict the voice of “Death”. Cox joins Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Francis McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri) in the line-up of stars who will be lending their voices to the series. Good Omens will launch globally on 31st May on Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories including in the UK, where it will also air on BBC Two at a later date.
