Yes, you read that right. Following on from last year’s Bumblebee which was oddly well received despite its myriad of plot holes, stupid moments and the relegation of what we want to see in a Transformers film to the beginning and the end, it sounds like series producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura wants to do something really different with the Autobots and the Decepticons. Chatting to ‘Collider’ about what he’d like to see in future installments of the films, Lorenzo said:

“One of the things I want to see, and I don’t know if we’ll do this particular thing, but I think we will eventually do a love story between Transformers. What does a love story mean? Definitely not sex, maybe not even kissing, but the idea that they would have that emotional crush has never really been brought in. That’s kind of the direction we’re going to try to head into, which is to give them human desires that up until now, we haven’t seen much of. I think that will change the relationship with the Transformers.

“So we may do some wild action, we’ll do action for sure in the main line, but it’s a different kind of attempt. I know we will hold on to a lot of the lessons from Bumblebee.”

Well I guess it could work in the right hands. And it doesn’t sound like we’re going to actually see some robot humping – though if Michael Bay was directing I’m sure he’d have been up for it.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
