We may not have a poster yet, but at last we have a trailer for the Jacob’s Ladder remake, a film that was completed well over a year ago but keeps on being delayed. I hate to say this, the film looks pretty good going by the trailer, but it doesn’t seem much like Jacob’s Ladder, so much so that I wonder why they called it that in the first place. In North America, DISH will premiere it in July, followed by a theatrical release on August 23. No news of what’s happening to it in the UK yet.

After losing his brother in combat, Jacob Singer returns home from Afghanistan — only to be pulled into a mind-twisting state of paranoia. Singer soon realizes that his sibling is alive but life is not what it seems.

David M. Rosenthal directs, Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorpe write, and Michael Ealy, Guy Burnet, Karla Souza and Nicole Beharie star.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
