‘SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME’ RETURNING TO CINEMAS WITH DELETED FOOTAGE

Not long ago Avengers: Endgame was screened in cinemas across the US and the UK, along with six minutes of additional footage. This helped it overtake Avatar [inflation not counted of course] as the highest-grossing movie of all time. It seems that these Marvel movies are so popular at the moment that people will return to see them at the cinema even if the amount of unseen footage is measly considering the overall running time. So to celebrate Spider-Man: Far From Home becoming Sony Pictures’ highest-grossing film, the studio is gearing up to release an extended cut in cinemas on 31st August. So far it’s only in the US and Canada – but I’d be very surprised if it didn’t come out in the UK too.

The never before seen scene will be a four minute action sequence. While I rather liked Far From Home, I’m not sure that’s enough of an enticement to pay for a return visit to the cinema to see it – though I’m no doubt in the minority.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
