While casting is well underway on James Wan‘s new horror film for New Line, with Maddie Hasson, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Abel and George Young attached to star, plot details have up to now been still under wraps. The only other thing we knew were that it’s not part of any existing property, and that Wan is aiming for a “hard R” rating. However, news has recently come in that the film will be a giallo. A recent article over on ‘Deadline’ listed the company name of Wan’s “Untitled Atomic Monster Project” [Atomic Monster being Wan’s production company as “Giallo Films, LLC,” then ‘Bloody Disgusting’ checked to see if that company name is any indication of the film’s sub-genre, and their sources confirmed this to be true.

This is great news for us fans of black gloved killers, elaborate kill sequences and confusing murder plots!

The film will shoot in Los Angeles at the end of September.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
