Fede Alvarez has been talking about a sequel to his hugely suspenseful Don’t Breathe for a while now, and we’ve recently learnt that it’s definitely going to happen, the project having finally been given a green light. However, Alvarez won’t be directing. His replacement will be Rodo Sayagues, who co-wrote Don’t Breathe and Evil Dead with him. Any disappointment should be alleviated by confirmation that Stephen Lang will be back as the Blind Man, a part he played so well in the first film. We don’t know if Jane Levy’s Rocky will return, or whether the film will tell an entirely different story. All we know about the story is that it’s set:

“Several years after the home invasion of the first movie, with the Blind Man living in quiet solace…until his past sins catch up to him.”

Production is set to begin in April.

Now you’re not directing this Fede, maybe you’ll think a bit more about an Evil Dead sequel?……

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
