Have they no shame?!

The trailer for Full Moon’s Corona Zombies has landed and you can view it below. Some are understandably offended that the company is still proceeding with the release, others seem happy to give the film a go and find it comforting to try to see a funny side in this real-life terror that sweeps the globe.

However, not long into this trailer I began to recognise some of the footage. Hey, it’s from the 1980 ‘so bad it’s good’ Italian zombie epic Zombie Creeping Flesh aka Hell Of The Living Dead! So what Full Moon have done is combined chunks of the Bruno Mattie pic with some new stuff of their own. I did wonder how it was that the Coronavirus shutdowns were only getting started in the United States when Full Moon announced that they already had Corona Zombies in post-production. The official synopsis does actually sort of tell you this if you read it carefully, but honestly….well….I guess it serves me right for toying with the idea of watching the film!

Ditsy damsels in distress, toilet paper famine, inept world leaders, mass-media gone wild, a virus from Hell and hordes of ghouls hungry for human flesh combine in Full Moon’s maniacal horror comedy hybrid CORONA ZOMBIES! Part irreverent satire, part gonzo Italian zombie movie remix, all Full Moon mania, CORONA ZOMBIES takes aim at the madness surrounding the crazy times we’re all living in and delivers the funniest – and most controversial – exploitation movie of the year! CORONA ZOMBIES: They’re Coming to Wipe You Out!

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
