Latest TV: CBS Orders full season of Silence sequel “Clarice”

We still live in hope that a fourth season of Hannibal will one day happen, but while those chances seems to be diminishing further, CBS are branching out on yet another take on a Silence Of The Lambs spin off and have greenlit “Clarice” for a season order!

As you can guess from the title, the show will be about the character Clarice Starling who was played wonderfully by Jodie Foster and then Julianne Moore, with the role this time being taken up by Pretty Little Liar’s Rebecca Breeds!.  It will be set after the events of “Silence”.

Here is the synopsis

“Clarice is set in 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs. The series is a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling, as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.”

“Brilliant and vulnerable, Clarice graduated Magna from UVA with a double major in Psych and Criminology. Her bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. Her complex psychological makeup comes from a challenging childhood, and her drive comes from her need to escape the burden of family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life.”

No news yet of when the show will be aired!
