Paramount Pictures and Blumhouse may have told us that 2015’s The Ghost Dimension was the “final” Paranormal Activity, but they’ve been developing a seventh entry for a while now. It was originally intended to come out next spring, but will now haunt cinemas on March 4, 2022.

We don’t know yet if this will be continuation of the original storyline which certainly had a few elements that could do with clarification, or a reboot. Nor do we know the writer and director. Earlier this year, producer Jason Blum revealed that Christopher Landon [writer of 2 and 4 and writer/director of The Marked Ones] will be helping out, but, as he explained:

“I am helping my friends and co-collaborators at Paramount set a new course for the franchise. I AM NOT writing the script nor am I directing the new movie. I am eager and excited to hand the reigns over to a fresh filmmaker who will undoubtedly reinvigorate this franchise that the amazing Oren Peli created so many years ago.”

Well there you have it from the man himself.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
