The team at Grimmfest have announced the first three guests who will be attending their Horror, Fantasy and Cult film festival this year at The Dancehouse, Oxford Road, Manchester on 3rd to 6th October 2013.
The first of the three guests is Emmerdale actor Dominic Brunt (who plays vet, Paddy), who’s returning to Grimmfest after a screening of his horror movie, Before Dawn, was shown at the festival in 2012. Taking the director’s seat once again, Dominic will be hosting a special screening of his new venture SHELL SHOCKED, which sees a British and German soldier reach an uneasy stand off in an abandoned bunker, but soon it becomes apparent they are not alone.
Also returning to Grimmfest for a second consecutive year is director Paul Davis, who last year had success with his short film, Him Indoors. Joining Paul will be actor Alfie Allen, who stars in Paul’s new movie, THE BODY – a slick horror/ black comedy in which a killer realises that Halloween is the perfect night of the year to be out and about disposing of a body. Unfortunately, he gets hijacked by some party goers and things don’t quite go as he’d planned.
All three guests will be available to sign autographs and will be hosting a Q+A after their respective screening, so make sure you’ve got your ticket to the hottest film festival in Manchester!
