HorrorCultFilms’ games editor Juan and his wife Dawn have set themselves a goal to complete a full 24 hours gaming marathon to raise money for the SpecialEffect charity.
To celebrate her 40th birthday, Dawn (who makes amazing cakes, might we add!) has added this challenge to her list of 40 challenges and goals she’d like to tackle this year. The gaming marathon will coincide with GameBlast16 which is the UK’s biggest charity gaming marathon. Naturally, her husband, our wicked games writer Juan, has decided to join her team for the full 24 hours starting from around 5pm on Friday 26th to Saturday 27th February 2016.
They’ve not revealed which games they’ll be playing yet but knowing Dawn’s tastes I hope there’s a bit of Viva Pinata in there and for Juan we might see a bit of Resident Evil. They’ll hopefully be streaming live during their marathon and also will be live on Periscope so we’ll be sharing their streams throughout the day!
They’ve already raised £74.56 for SpecialEffect, a charity which helps people living with disabilities enjoy videogames.
