With WWE 2K17’s release date quickly approaching, 2K have revealed the first feature set details for the next installment in the flagship WWE franchise. Mark Little, Executive Producer at Visual Concepts, has provided a comprehensive overview of several key focus areas for WWE 2K17 in a blog post now live on wwe.2k.com. Key highlights include:
· Extensive Core Gameplay Experience additions and improvements;
· New Creation Suite features and additions;
· WWE Universe Mode and MyCareer updates;
· Promo Engine debut;
· Largest Playable Roster in franchise history.
In the latest installment of WWE 2K17’s Suplex City Census, 36 WWE Superstar residents of the Shopping District – the third of five neighborhoods in Suplex City – have been announced for inclusion in the forthcoming franchise’s worldwide release on October 11, 2016. The installment brings the following Superstars to WWE 2K17’s extensive roster: AJ Styles, Alexa Bliss, Alundra Blayze, Arn Anderson, Bam Bam Bigelow, Becky Lynch, Bo Dallas, Bubba Ray Dudley, Bushwhacker Butch, Bushwhacker Luke, Christian, Curtis Axel, Dana Brooke, Dolph Ziggler, D-Von Dudley, Emma, Eva Marie, Fandango, Kofi Kingston, Lita, “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig, Naomi, Natalya, Neville, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, Rikishi, Shawn Michaels, Stardust, Sting, Summer Rae, Tamina, Tatsumi Fujinami, Trish Stratus, Tyler Breeze and Xavier Woods
Developed collaboratively by Yuke’s and Visual Concepts, a 2K studio, WWE 2K17 is rated “16” by PEGI. WWE 2K17 is currently scheduled for worldwide release on the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on October 11, 2016. Consumers who pre-order WWE 2K17 at any participating retailer will receive two playable Bill Goldberg characters, as well as playable WCW Monday Nitro and Halloween Havoc arenas, at no extra cost on launch day.
