Bloober Team and Lionsgate Games have released the first official gameplay trailer for the upcoming Blair Witch psychological horror videogame and it looks set to scare gamers senseless.
In the trailer, we see the main character, a man aided by his canine companion Bullet, who appears to be investigating a disappearance – could this be Heather, Mike and Josh?
He’s speaking on the phone to a woman, maybe his partner, about the legend of the witch that haunts the woods. We see controller prompts for the dog to explore the woods including digging up a pile of leaves, as well as the main character picking up a camcorder so maybe expect an Outlast-type mechanic from the game. It isn’t long before we come across the house, the one which we saw more of in Adam Wingard’s 2016 sequel.
The woodland environment really sets the scene as it did in the movies and we can’t wait to do some exploring in this first-person horror when it releases on Xbox One and PC on 30th August 2019.
