Crowdfunding Campaign Launched For Humanist Horror Film TRAUMA 4 LIFE

Writer-director Roy Berkeley has launched a crowdfunding campaign for his upcoming indie feature film, Trauma 4 Life.

Using the moniker “Trauma,” 19-year-old Trina Tompkins vlogs about PTSD on her Youtube channel “Trauma 4 Life.” Her main reason for living is to protect her 16-year-old sister Chris, who is bullied for having albinism and is addicted to codeine. While streetwalking, Trina witnesses a murder, which sets off a series of traumatic events. Trina is taught how to protect herself from predators and the sisters take on an ill-advised revenge mission.

The team of M.F.A. graduates of the USC School of Cinematic Arts are looking to raise $7,000 to help achieve their initial vision for this project, including camera equipment, accommodation and catering.

There are perks for those who decide to pledge towards the campaign, including a poster and digital or DVD copy of the movie.

I love practical effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Yakuza Zero and Mafia III.
