The only film I’m truly excited for this year, and one that I will likely be attending the cinema multiple times for, is THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS. So excuse me whilst I just squeal at the brand new poster for THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS which teases some of the characters that will feature in the movie. We have familiar favourites Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), who are joined by newcomers to the series, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick and Eréndira Ibarra.
The film also sees returning stars Jada Pinkett Smith (Niobe) and Lambert Wilson (Merovingian) alongside more fresh faces in Christina Ricci, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Christina Ricci.
The third sequel and fourth film in the franchise, THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS looks set to excite viewers once again as it takes them further down the rabbit hole, 18 years after The Matrix Revolutions wrapped in 2003.
As the poster says, it’s time to return to the source.
Lana Wachowski directs from a screenplay by Wachowski & David Mitchell & Aleksander Hemon, based on characters created by The Wachowskis. The film’s produced by Grant Hill, James McTeigue and Lana Wachowski. The executive producers are Garrett Grant, Terry Needham, Michael Salven, Jesse Ehrman and Bruce Berman.
THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS will be in theatres nationwide and on HBO Max via the Ad-Free plan on December 22, 2021; it will be available on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release.
