The Tunnel

To celebrate the release on 6th August of found-footage thriller, THE TUNNEL, we are pleased to be giving away to one lucky winner a horrifying DVD bundle of Macabre, Don’t Go In The House, Paranormal Incident and of course, The Tunnel, courtesy of Arrow Films.

The Tunnel is the brand new Australian found-footage thriller where a terrifying fear is about to be unleashed.

When heading into a tunnel you know you will see daylight on the other side, but the government abandoned train tunnels under Sydney are a dark, twisted maze, where the shadows move and something is watching…

The Tunnel has been recognised by Variety as “Taking a chapter from ‘The Blair Witch Project‘ and a page from 1973 cult item ‘Raw Meat‘; whilst HorrorAyslum described The Tunnel as “Terrifying and effective”.

In 2007 the New South Wales government suddenly and inexplicably abandoned a project  to recycle water found in the disused train tunnels beneath Sydney, despite being in the midst of a serious draught.

In 2008 investigative journalist Natasha (Bel Dalia) is conviced of a government cover-up and is determined to prove her theory right by any means possible. Natasha and her team Peter Ferguson (Andy Rodoreda), Steve Miller (Steve Davies) and Jim Williams (Luke Arnaldo) descend into the subterranean labyrinth of the city – but as they hunt for their story, a much bigger story is hunting them.

Watch their harrowing ordeal, with unprecedented access to the recently declassified tapes shot in claustrophobic subway tunnels, as well as a series of candid interviews with the survivors and CCTV. Step by step we come face to face with the terrifying truth.

The never before seen footage takes us deep inside the tunnels, bringing the darkness to life and capturing the raw fear that threatens to tear the crew apart, leaving each one of them fighting for their lives against an unknown predator.

Directed by Carlo Ledesma and produced by Enzo Tedeschi and Julian Harvey, The Tunnel is part of the 135k Project, a crowd-funding initiative  that invites film fans to buy individual frames from films in pre-production to fund the cost of production. The aim of 135k Films is to make movies uncumbered by box office constraints.

Set for release on DVD in the UK on 6th August, The Tunnel is an edge of the seat thriller, a highlight in the found-footage genre.
