I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance

  1. What we did on our holiday. Something of a contrast to Gone Girl, it’s Pike in a much more likable role. A very funny and touching film.

  2. I like What We Did on Our Holiday the most as Rosamund Pike was keeping me surprised more than ever during the movie.

  3. Surrogates – I thought Rosamund and Bruce Willis were excellent in this cop film with a difference. Well worth watching just for a view of the “surrogate” Rosamund Pike, gorgeous.

  4. Die Another Day, any movie with a scantily clad Rosamund Pike has got to be a good ‘un right?? and if she is carrying a weapon (a sword) even sexier 😉

  5. Either Pride and Prejudice (she made a lovely Jane Bennett!) or Made in Dagenham. I’ve loved everything I’ve seen her in though.

  6. Although not an obvious casting choice, she was great as Abi in What We Did on Our Holiday carrying off the comedy-drama script very effectively.

  7. I thought shew probably was the best thing about the film….DOOM, Awful film but she showed that even with a bad movie talent will come to the top.

  8. Made in Dagenham – thought-provoking, entertaining and emotional, Rosamund excelled as the character Lisa Hopkins, earning herself two nominations for Best Supporting Actress.

  9. I liked Jack Reacher but nothing can take away her performance in Gone Girl i only watched it because my wife said how great the book was and im so pleased i did.

  10. Pride and Prejudice was great and An Education, mostly I just love her voice. She did a great movie with Paul Giamatti I think called Barney’s Version in which she was just brilliant. Mostly it’s the voice though she has a brilliant way of speaking it’s artless.

  11. Gone Girl. I knew nothing of the storyline so it kept me interested all the way through and Pike played the role very well, being somewhere between cold fish, loving wife and unhinged sociopath.

  12. Gone Girl as it was a great film. I worked out what was going on quite early on and was wrong. Makes a change when so many movies are so predictable.

  13. It has to be Gone Girl, what a fantastic actress with the ability to deceive the audience with her dual personality. Scary and brilliant!

  14. Gone Girl – really enjoyed the film with well developed characters. (Enjoyed both the novel and the film\)

  15. I think her best film was Jack Reacher. I love the Lee Child book series and was not really looking forward to watching this, but was really pleasantly surprised!

  16. Definitely ‘Gone Girl’. Amazing plot and I think my boyfriend will sleep with one eye open from now on!
