Released last Halloween, somehow we managed to miss Steven C. Miller’s (The Aggression Scale, Silent Night, Under the Bed) rather brilliant short film, Granny. However, the awesome piece of horror brilliance has reared its old and decrepit head once more, and this time round we have got it for you!
Granny is a simple four minute short film that was filmed in a parking lot in just a few hours. The short film see’s two lovers who manage to piss off poor old Granny who just wants to see good in the world. Unlucky for the lovers that they chose to annoy the wrong old lady on this fine evening, and they are about to pay for their mistake!
“This is a short film/promo piece I shot for Jamie Kennedy’s company,” writes Miller of the film. “They had a feature script that execs had a very hard time understanding the tone [of] so they brought me on board. The feature is basically a very dark horror/comedy in the vein of Dead Alive, and that is the tone I was going for in this short. I wanted it to be over-the-top and fun.”
Hopefully the feature length version will be made soon.
Sounds interesting – though i got to say, Under The Bed was maybe one of the weakest horrors i’ve seen in a while (though i dig the aggression scale)
