I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: GTA Online & Mortal Kombat 11

  1. the guard; just a brilliant film. funny, thrilling, at times touching…an incredibly clever ending that is either happy or tragic depending on your opinion of the main character…strong is excellent (as always) as one of the trio of villains…but everything else comes second to brendan gleeson in the lead role. an absolute tour de (police) force.

  2. Gosh there are so many but I wouldhave to go with Tinker, Taylor, Soldier Spy. It was rare to see a movie you couldn’t guess the outcome five minutes in

  3. I think he is great in Rocknrolla, not the greatest film in the world but he plays the role of mob heavy really well, brilliant performance I love his character Archie.

  4. After careful consideration. The 39 Steps. Choose any of the remakes or original and you will be reminded of what cinema is all about.

  5. Have loved Mark Strong’s work since I saw The Long Firm. Great ‘Easter Island’ Statue’ impenetrable stare!

  6. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is the only thing I’ve seen him in & loved it – would like to watch him in this.

  7. revolver because his character sorter was a great hitman but he wouldnt let the baddies kill the little girl in the film

  8. Kick-Ass – violent but incredibly funny. Chloe Moretz (Mindy/Hit-Girl) is an absolute star, and Mark Strong (Frank D’Amico) is a very entertaining baddie. Frank’s son Chris/Red Mist is one of the most comical superheroes I’ve ever seen. He thinks he’s a criminal mastermind, but is more Harry Potter meets Glam Rock Goth!

  9. The first time Mark Strong hit my radar was in Stardust…. He creeped me out proper! and I thought he was awesome in it! Typecasted as a baddie quite quickly but he wears it very well!

  10. Tinker tailor soldier spy .. he kept you interested all the way through .. no drifting off wondering what’s in the fridge?

  11. I’ve loved Mark since his days in ‘Our Friends In The North’. He does the real serious, brooding roles so well. He also makes a brilliant villain…he should be cast as Bonds’ next nemesis (a brilliant re-union with Daniel Craig) – so my choice would be his audition tape for the role ‘Lord Blackwood’ from Sherlock Holmes 😉

  12. I really like Body of Lies. It is a good action movie with a nice plot lots of twists and turns. Love the way it is filmed as well quite gritty and unique cinematography

  13. Fever Pitch.
A great British film showing the love of football. I know Mark Strong did not have the biggest part in it but it is one of my favourite film.

  14. Stardust is one of my favourite Mark Strong movies. It’s a magical film which is completely compelling to people of all ages and Mark’s character really shines through

  15. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy because it was a great film, with a great plotline. Srong played his part extremely well, his character was extremely believable.

  16. I Tink It Has to be Rocknrolla,he was really good in that.Made me Take notice of him!!I Think it was a very much underrated film,so please watch it peeps if you aint already!!XX
