How do you fancy getting a sneak peek behind the scenes of HCF and an insight into my day-to-day movie blogging life? Well, now you can!

I’ve been chosen as one of only 30 bloggers in the UK to act as an Alpha-Seeder for the launch of Dayre, a brand new blogging app for smartphone users.

Okay, so there’s tons of blogging platforms and social networks out there already, so what’s the difference?
Well, Dayre has been created solely for mobile, both Android and iOS, and acts as a way to post numerous status updates during the day that will automatically form into one big blog post come midnight, creating daily blog posts.

This is fantastic for anyone who’s always wanted to start their own blog but have been too busy or are always on the move. Just sit down for 5 mins, load up the app, post your thoughts, photos or video, and hit update. Post bite-sized updates using the Dayre app as many times as you like throughout the day and voila, you’ll have created your own blog entry.

All that is required to join Dayre is to download the free app, register with your email address or Facebook login and you’re ready to blog!

The Dayre app gives you your own profile, with the option for a profile photo, banner and mini bio, as well as a custom web address.

The homepage of the Dayre app shows 5 different buttons: a pen to write your thoughts; a camera to post photos already on your phone or to take new ones; a camcorder to post video; a sticker to post a range of pre-made stickers and finally a map pin to post a location.

Each button allows you to express yourself and post mini-updates during your day to your Dayre daily blog. Remember, they don’t have to be one theme! Dayre is your personal blog and can be about anything you do during your day, from what you had for breakfast, to what you’re wearing, how you’re feeling and what you’re getting up to.

I like how easy it is to share photos and videos. Even the stickers are tremendous fun, with a wide range of emotions and characters to choose from, which help to give your update  a bit of pizzazz.

There’s plenty of other users on Dayre too, from fashion bloggers to cooking bloggers, all posting their daily exploits.
Like other social networks, you can easily ‘Follow’ other Dayre users who you may find interesting and their posts will be shown on your ‘friends feed’.
You can then read, comment and like their posts, and they can follow you and do the same on your Dayre posts.

I’ve started my Dayre blogging journey and I hope you will join me to explore this new app and also to share thoughts on the latest films.

Follow my day-to-day movie witterings on Dayre by downloading the free app on Google Play (Android) or iTunes (iOS).

I love practical effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Yakuza Zero and Mafia III.
