I love playing videogames, and though I have 1001 (well, not quite but it feels like it) in my collection left to play, I’m always on the lookout for the next visually-stunning, gameplay-intensive game to hit PC and consoles.
With Christmas around the corner (argh!!!), there’s plenty of videogames that are set to release in Q4 to take advantage of those looking to buy presents for their loved ones. Let’s face it, this time of the year, when it’s going colder, is when we gamers are more likely to stay inside in the comforting, warm glow of the television screen, playing videogames for hours on end.
So below are the Top 10 videogames that I recommend you look out for in the next few months, along with a handy link to Flubit, a new service which can help you bag games cheaper than what Amazon are selling them for. Score!

From the makers of the Resident Evil series of games comes The Evil Within, a survival horror where you play as Detective Sebastian Castellanos who awakes to find himself in a disturbing world full of hideous creatures, after investigating a murder. With a real-time, constantly changing environment, The Evil Within looks like every horror gaming fan’s dream, especially if you enjoy Resident Evil and Silent Hill. I’ll be checking this game out for sure, just, errr… pass me a cushion please to peep from behind!

Play as Michael, Trevor and Franklin as you take on missions within Los Santos. Buying the game also opens up Grand Theft Auto Online, which is essentially a game of its own where players can play with their friends and others online by completing jobs or participating in races, just to name a few.

Borderlands – The Pre-Sequel
Xbox 360, PS3 and PC
UK release date: 17th October 2014
I’ve never played Borderlands, but I know it has a hell of a following. Fans are counting down the days until the third game, Borderlands – The Pre-Sequel, hits the shelves. Set on Pandora’s Moon, feel the low level gravity as you bounce, shoot n loot your way through the environment, and discover the origins of some of your favourite villains.
Alien: Isolation

After the disappointment of Colonial Marines, a lot of high hopes are being put upon Alien: Isolation where the player will take control of Amanda Ripley, Ellen’s daughter who seeks to discover the truth behind her mother’s disappearance and who ends up running into the very creatures her mother faced: the Xenomorphs. The bonus content has fans salivating with the opportunity to play as Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker in a level which sees the trio attempt to fight off the alien aboard the Nostromo. Who wouldn’t want to play that?!
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC
UK release date: 3rd October 2014
A resurrected ranger Talion seeks revenge on those who wronged him in this Lord of the Rings spin-off game. This game is a bloody affair as you do battle through Mordor so expect amazing visuals and a unique experience with the game’s dynamic Nemesis System which shapes the game to your actions. Fans of Tolkien and fantasy games will be in their element, as long as they’re over the age of 18! This game is certainly not for kids.
WWE 2K15
Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4
UK release date: 21st November 2014
The last time I played a WWE game it was still called WWF and it was probably Smackdown, so to say I’m behind with the games is an understatement. If I had a console (I’m a PC gamer), I’d get the latest instalment WWE 2K15 like a flash. The trailer boasts super realistic wrestling superstars which you’ll be able to control during the game. Fly off the ring ropes, spear your opponents and smack each other over the head with a chair. Yes, you can do this and so much more! The best bit is that you can have all the fun of wrestling without leaving your chair and succumbing to the injuries. These games are always a lot of fun when playing solo but especially when playing multiplayer.
