Win a Limited Edition IT FOLLOWS T-Shirt In Our Competition! #ItFollows

The breakout film from the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, IT FOLLOWS is a contemporary horror exploring teen sex, suburbia, and the stuff of nightmares – a cult classic in the making from one of the most exciting filmmaking talents around. For 19-year-old Jay (Maika Monroe), the fall should be about school, boys and weekends at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, or something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her teenage friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.

It Follows is coming to UK and Irish cinemas 27th February.

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Always Sometimes Monsters and The Witcher

  1. I would hate to be followed by the great Freddy Krueger. As much at is cliche and obvious, someone stalking your dreams will make you paranoid in and out of sleep. Not being able to feel safe in your own head is one horrifying nightmare.

  2. leatherface- even if you don’t turn around you’ll be able to smell the petrol of the chainsaw and the revving of it is enough to terrify anyone!

  3. I would dread to have The Babadook follow me because even if I tried pretending it wasn’t there, it would only do worse.

  4. I’d absolutely dread to be followed around by Leatherface from the fourth Texas Chainsaw Massacre film wherever I went, a hulking, chainsaw-wielding behemoth in a lacy dress that just won’t stop screaming. What’s more likely to incite both perpetual fear and annoyance than that? 😈 🙂

  5. Doomlord from the 80s comic Eagle – if he was following me I’d know I was in trouble! He had an energizer ring that could disintegrate people and he could assume your identity once he’d killed you! Great (and memorable!) stories.

  6. I think I would be scared if anything(one) was following me around!! But most of all it would probably have to be Ghostface! 😯

  7. i wouldnt want sam fromtrick or treat following me. dont get me wrong i love it but i wouldnt want to experiance it haha

  8. I heard of a film made about Margaret Thatcher. I once had a nightmare that I was making love to her, her eyes were that of a lesbian thinking: “Has he finished yet?” I woke up soaked in sweat, had to have a bath and change the bed sheets. A naked Margaret Thatcher wearing her infamous strap on would be my worst nightmare.

  9. Would have to be Freddy Kruger – many years of lost sleep from watching it! But meeting Robert Englund helped cure me!

  10. probably the night owl from stagefright. you’d never get in to any shops or bars, just asked if the guy with the owl head is with you and turned away when you nod yes.

  11. Captain Spaulding from house of 1000 corpses. Clowns freak me out anyway but a low budget one is even more creepy!

  12. I think for me it would be Jason Voorhees – the guy just won’t lie down and die, so you’d never feel safe. For my husband I rather suspect that it would be Pinhead; he always says that he feels like he can smell the blood in the scene in Hellraiser when all the hooks spring out and tear the guy to pieces.

  13. The character from the film ‘CREEP’ who lives in the London Tube Tunnels – Especially where I travel on the tubes rather regular.

  14. That’s a tough one. Probably go for Hannibal Lecter, I wouldn’t want him stopping by for ‘dinner’.
