Win a copy of World War Dead: Rise of the Fallen on DVD!

The Battle of The Somme marked one of the bloodiest battles in human history wounding and killing 1,000,000 German and Allied soldiers in its wake.

But…there was no winner. Now, 100 years later, a documentary team – led by filmmaker Marcus Singh (RAY PANTHAKI – 28 Days Later) and Emma Washington (WENDY GLENN – You’re Next) – has travelled to the site to unveil the mysteries that led to that horrendous outcome. But what they unearth is something far worse than they could have imagined – the fallen armies, risen, with an agenda to settle the score.

World War Dead: Rise of the Fallen is out to own on DVD and Blu-ray from 4th May.

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Always Sometimes Monsters and The Witcher

  1. Zombie Lake (1981) (aka ‘Le lac des morts vivants’) aquatic nazi zombies, Underwater shots so bad it’s good, hilarious low budget horror trash!

  2. Deathwatch – A world war One horror film set in the trenches, not explicitly about reanimate soldiers but they all go a little crazy when they are infected/possessed by evil that had previously possessed/infected some germans.

    An underrated horor!

  3. I am going to say Outpost. However there is an Italian film I watched about two children who find an abandoned bunker which turns out to house the undead!! Can not remember the title though.

  4. This is going back a bit, but MIchael Mann’s highly stylized ‘The Keep’ with Ian McKellen and Scott Glenn reallly put the wind up me as a kid. It was the first film I’d seen with Nazi zombies, never saw any of them in my Commando comic books. 😉
