With Dexter now one of the most popular TV shows currently being streamed around the world – yes, a new generation has jumped on the blood splatter’s antics and with Original Sin, the all new DEXTER prequel becoming a hit, the world is set to expand with yet another spin/0ff.
DEADLINE have reported that there are plans for a Trinity prequel, the ultimate nemesis of Dexter Morgan, played memorably by John Lithgow. The killer was introduced in season four of the original series, a season arc that nearly all DEXTER fans are in agreement was the best entire of the entire run. Dexter showrunner Clyde Phillips and writer/producer Scott Reynolds will serve as co-creators and executive producers of the killer prequel series.
Phillips has also revealed that Lithgow has agreed to come back and provide the inner voice of his younger self, mirroring what Michael C. Hall is doing for Dexter: Original Sin.
It does seem that we are currently living in a Dexter world, what with the main man himself, returning in a sequel series sometime in 2025.
