TRUE BLOOD: SEASON 4: Episode 5 Review

 

 

 

Odd fact which I learnt from this weeks show…..Alligators love Marshmallows….oh yes and who says True Blood is dumb TV.

 

Is it me or is this the best season yet? I mean everything is going off, the crazy pace is just bonkers and I really can not for the life of me take my eyes off this for one second. This week the episode started frantic and somehow managed to continue right to the very end and I needed a stiff drink to just calm my nerves. We started with poor Tommy chained around the neck and having another battle with his friggin parents. The bunch of no hopers were soon taught a lesson though and we finally saw Tommy fight back for once even though he ended up killing Joe Lee and his bitch of a mother. With only one person to run to for help and that was hs brother Sam, even though he got shot in the leg by Sam whose dark side is coming out more and more, the two dump the bodes in the swamp and that is where we learnt the nice info about those Marshmallows.

 

Elsewhere the new improved Eric is simply brilliant and it was nice to see the return of Godric who returned in a dream and wanted poor confused Eric to drink the blood of Sookie so he can once again day-walk. I really do not know where this is going but its great to see and when Sookie finally relented to the person she once hatred and they started to kiss, well its taken True Blood onto a whole new path that is going to be interested to view.

 

Her former lover Bill finally became more into the fore this week after a few weeks of not doing anything. His concern that the witches cause a serious threat is finally being heard but its it too late because Marnie seems to be getting more and more under the spell of this Spanish witch Antonia who just hates all things Vamps. Even Sookie had a warning when she went for a reading and her late Gran communicated through Marine who told her to run and get the hell out of that place, I really do like this year’s bad, its interesting and different and you just feel that the shit is going to hit the fan when Antonia finally comes strong and powerful.

 

We sort of had a bit of new back story that may serve as the finale….. Antonia is responsible for a multitude of vampire deaths after she used the Necromancy which resulted in all vampires to wake up and walk through the daylight, causing them all to burn to a nice state of crisp. A possible climax maybe to the show and will this mean Sookie could be in danger because her blood could save many of the undead?….hmmm intriguing!.

 

Terry and Arlene meanwhile are still wondering if their baby is in fact the new serial killer of Bon Temp and asked Tara’s mum and new husband for help. This was probably the weakest link of the whole show because it was a bore fest compared to what else was going on!

 

Jason being left for dead and having to drink Jessica’s blood meant that sex dreams with Hoyt’s girlfriend was now a 100% must and damn Jessica is turning into one hot woman.

 

 

I mean WOW………….but then Bon Temps is a place rich full of beautiful people and for all your women out there, here is the picture of the man you all would love to spend a night on the sofa with watching the telly……..

 

 

And now that I know all the guys who were reading this review are looking at the Jessica Pic and the women at the Alcide image…….its best to end this right now and the show ended with a belter, Bill finally discovering where Eric is and rushed away…….

 

Will he find his arch enemy in bed with the woman he truly loves? Have to wait next week!
