Titan Books are to publish THE ART OF STEPHEN HICKMAN on 6th November 2015 in hardback format.

Taking a look through the extensive catalogue of works from one of the most important contemporary Tolkien artists, this lavish, full-colour hardcover art book invites readers on a visual tour through acclaimed SFF artist Stephen Hickman’s artwork.

With beautiful full-colour images throughout the collection focuses on his book covers for famous SFF authors such as Harlan Ellison, Robert Heinlein, Anne McCaffrey, and Larry Niven. Hickman himself provides accompanying commentary discussing his influences, inspirations and technique on some of his best-loved works.

Stephen Hickman has been illustrating science fiction and fantasy for three decades. His work is inspired by the masters of fantasy and science fiction writing — J.R.R. Tolkien, H.P. Lovecraft, A. Merritt, Edgar Rice Burroughs and Clark Ashton Smith. He has illustrated over 400 book covers for acclaimed SFF authors

BatI love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill
