Gaming fans are in for a great time at this year’s EGX London 2014, as attendees can get hands-on with a variety of Nintendo demos at the official Nintendo stand, including the hotly anticipated Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS which launches on 3rd October 2014. Gamers can also have fun getting to grips with Splatoon, the colourful and chaotic ink splattering third-person shooter out in 2015 exclusively for Wii U, and many other titles including Yoshi’s Woolly World, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Hyrule Warriors on Wii U, and Ultimate NES Remix and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on Nintendo 3DS. Fans also have the chance to win prizes on the hour, every hour, with a spin of the Nintendo ‘Swag Wheel’.

With new playable features, characters and gaming modes available to try out in a new demo of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, which includes Classic, All-Star and Stadium modes, the Nintendo stand is set to be lively. Fans also have a unique opportunity to play with an expanded roster of characters in this portable version – including PAC-MAN, Diddy Kong, Rosalina & Luma, Link, Zero Suit Samus and Olimar – all of whom have only previously been available in the Wii U demo to date.

With new single player and local multiplayer modes available in Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo 3DS, fans visiting the stand can also play as their very own Mii Fighter, who are available in three forms: the Mii Brawler, the Mii Swordfighter and the Mii Gunner. Anyone seeking their moment of fame will also have the chance to compete against other fans on Super Smash Bros for Wii U, with the winners of the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS qualifying heats rewarded with the chance to play the game on the big screen, in front of a live audience who can cheer on the contenders. The winner of this battle reaps more than just satisfaction, with a Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Limited Edition Pack up for grabs for 34 winners. The Limited Edition Pack which is also available on 3rd October gives fans the chance to own a red Nintendo 3DS XL* system with a striking Super Smash Bros. motif emblazoned on the front, available whilst stocks last. This limited edition hardware comes with a pre-installed digital copy of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, so players can get straight into battle, right out of the box. An additional 34 runners-up will also get their hands on some PAC-MAN plush and Super Smash Bros. key rings.

What’s more, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be exclusive sponsors of the Cosplay competition on Saturday 27th September.
