Keanu Reeves made a surprise appearance under the alias J. Utah, a nod to his character Johnny Utah in Kathryn Bigelow’s surfer crime flick Point Break, at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to talk John Wick: Chapter 4.
Sat alongside John Wick director Chad Stahelski, the duo chat about Wick going international with the film taking place at various locations around the world… including Berlin Germany.
That’s not the only great news to be announced as the official teaser trailer has also been revealed, giving us our first glimpse of footage from the JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 and what we expect from the film.
Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Laurence Fishburne return to their respective roles and there’s the introduction of new characters in the form of actors Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins.
Excited? You betcha! The trailer promises more of what we’ve come to expect from this incredible franchise.
The calm yet brutal assassin that is John Wick (Keanu Reeves), also known as Baba Yaga, can be seen striking the makiwara as the insane fight scenes are spliced between, injected with a trademark sense of humour where Wick appears to be repeatedly pounding the brains of an enemy with nunchaku. But that’s not all. There also seems to be a bit of katana play. Martial arts fans rejoice!
With a release date of 24th March 2023, we still have some months to go before we get to watch the glorious action on the big screen but you can bet we’ll be bringing you the latest updates inbetween!
