HOUSE RED
Directed by Coz Greenop

In some exciting news for indy horror fans, Skylight Media Entertainment/ Tell Me A Storey Productions recently announced principal photography has finished on their upcoming chiller House Red – intended for a Halloween 2018 release.

This suspense-horror is written and directed by rising star, and major talent, Coz Greenop. Shot on location Tuscany, it follows a supposedly picture-perfect couple, Natalie and Felix, who are travelling in an attempt to save their relationship following a shocking revelation. With a chance encounter they find themselves in an idyllic vineyard, where they volunteer to help with the grape harvest. But when another guest worker at the Chateau mysteriously disappears, Natalie, Felix and their new acquaintances sense violence and danger behind every corner.

Making her leading debut, Lady Clara Paget (BLACK SAILS, FAST & FURIOUS 6, ST TRINIAN’S 2: THE LEGEND OF FRITTON’S GOLD) stars opposite newcomer Sam Wilkinson (THE CROWN, ROGUE ONE). In the supporting cast are Jasmine Waltz (FAMOUSLY SINGLE), Nicola Posener (MYTHICA: THE DARKSPORE) and Hakan Hassan (BITTER HARVEST) and DJ Locksmith of Rudimental, who makes his acting debut and will contribute to the soundtrack. Also accompanying them are screen legends Tamer Hassan (SNATCH [TV], GAME OF THRONES, THE PROMISE, THE DOUBLE) and cult favourite Natasha Henstridge (SPECIES, GHOSTS OF MARS).

Camilla Storey (BITTER HARVEST) is producing alongside Tamer Hassan (BITTER HARVEST, DEAD MAN RUNNING) under the banner of their production companies Tell Me a Storey (Storey) and Skylight Media Entertainment (Hassan and Storey). Hassan is also an Executive Producer, alongside Dennis Davidson.

This is Greenop’s third feature film. His first, DEMON BABY (2014) won numerous awards on the horror Film Festival circuit, including Best British Horror, Best Actress and Best Director at the 2015 British Horror Film Festival. His latest feature, DARK BEACON, recently took home Best Picture, Best Director and Best Cinematography at the American Horror Film Festival in Arizona and is set to be released in the UK in March 2018 via Gravitas Ventures.

For more information on House Red, watch this space. Horror Cult Films were fortunate enough to visit the set, with interviews to follow, where we met Greenop and some key cast members. With a classic aesthetic, its director’s strong vision and an old school mystery at it’s dark heart, I suspect we may be set for a vintage horror.
