The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett Scores Netflix Gaming Horror Thriller CHOOSE OR DIE

Choose Or Die

Anton and Stigma Films have announced that CHOOSE OR DIE (formerly known as CURS>R) will be available globally on Netflix from 15th April 2022.

A dark twist on the ‘80’s gaming obsession, the horror thriller stars Asa Butterfield (Sex Education, Greed), Iola Evans (The 100, Carnival Row) and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes, Happy Go Lucky). The film also features horror maestro Robert Englund (the iconic Freddy Kreuger in A Nightmare on Elm Street). Rounding out the cast is Angela Griffin (The Hollow, Harlots), Kate Fleetwood (Beirut, Star Wars: Episode VII), Ryan Gage (The Hobbit, The Musketeers) and Joe Bolland (The Trial of Christine Keeler).

Produced by Anton’s Sebastien Raybaud and John Zois and Stigma Films’ Matthew James Wilkinson (Yesterday, Days of the Bagnold Summer, Amulet), CHOOSE OR DIE is directed by Toby Meakins (Breath, Floor 9.5) and written by Simon Allen (The Watch, Das Boot, The Musketeers).

Liam Howlett has composed an edgy and atmospheric soundtrack representing his first outing as a composer responsible for the entire sonic landscape of a movie. As the creative driving force behind the widely acclaimed British band ‘The Prodigy’ Liam Howlett has a reputation for incredible work as a song writer and producer. With 7 consecutive number 1 studio albums in the U.K. to his credit and millions of global album sales, his award-winning studio work (which includes seminal titles such as ‘Firestarter’ and ‘Out of Space’) has been accompanied across the years by many incendiary live performances in front of millions of fans. Whilst Howlett’s work has appeared in the context of many high profile and critically acclaimed films (including The Matrix, Kick Ass and Repo Men), he most recently provided a fresh take on Breathe in the company of RZA for the soundtrack of Fast and Furious 9.

I love practical effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Yakuza Zero and Mafia III.
